Patrick Leonard Gallery is thrilled to present Ramses Allen’s debut New York City solo exhibition, Self Portrait, in the mezzanine gallery at ModA Studios. The images that comprise this immersive environment are a collective self-portrait of the artist, a muralist and painter, subdivided by his large format canvas paintings and the site specific mural elements that enclose them together. The images depict preoccupations and influences from media and pop culture alongside sources of vulnerability and self-questioning, revealing the manner in which our cultural resources do much more than simply entertain.
